From Our Pasture to Your Plate: The Journey of Our Meat
At our farm, we believe in keeping things simple, transparent, and close to home. That’s why we raise our chicken, beef, and pork from start to finish right here on our pastures. Each animal is either born on our farm or arrives at just a day old, so we’re hands-on in their care from the very beginning — no shortcuts, no middlemen.
When it comes to processing, each meat follows its own path:
• Beef & Pork: We transport them to a provincially licensed small-scale butcher who custom processes and packages each order for us, then we bring the finished product back to the farm.
• Chicken: We transport our poultry to a trusted processor for humane slaughter, then bring them back to our county-inspected food premise right here on the farm, where we do all the packaging for the cut-ups ourselves.
From there, we bring it back to the farm to sell directly to you — the end consumer.
This means you know exactly where your food came from, how it was raised, and who raised it.
Compare that to the typical grocery store supply chain: for most animals, different farms are involved at each stage — one may handle breeding, another raising, and yet another finishing. The food might start on a farm half a world away, travel to a large processor, be packaged in another location, sold to a wholesaler, then shipped to a retailer before it finally reaches your plate. That’s a lot of miles — and a lot of hands — between the farm and your fork.
When you buy direct from us, you’re not just getting pasture-raised, high-quality meat. You’re supporting local agriculture, shortening the food chain, and making a choice that’s better for the environment, your community, and your table.
From our farm to your family — it’s as simple as it should be.
